Ever since it was unveiled in September 2015, Bajaj Auto has been generating quite some buzz with the Qute. Initially, the manufacturer had mentioned that the Qute will be exported only to foreign markets. Now the manufacturer had launched two new websites which is a likely indicator that the Qute will soon be on sale in the country. Interested buyers can now browse the Qute online. The first is an official website dedicated to the Qute which consist of all the technicalities. The latter is a promotional web portal where the junta can voice their opinion on the Qute.
The Bajaj Qute is a four-wheeler, but yet not a car. It falls in the category of a quadricycle. The Qute combines the qualities of a three-wheeler and a car in one. Powering the Qute is a 216.6cc, water-cooled Digital Tri-Spark ignition 4-valve engine which is capable of producing 13.2PS of power. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj has implemented a closed loop fuel ignition system for the Qute. Production models of the Qute are expected to be offered in CNG and LPG variants as well. Bajaj claims the Qute is capable of returning a fuel economy of 36kmpl.
Bajaj Auto expects to revolutionize the way people commute within the city with the Qute. The Qute meets the European Quadricycle norms making it the first Indian manufactured quadricycle in the market. Already on sale in Turkey and some other foreign markets, Bajaj plans to sell the Qute to as many as 15 other countries gradually.
