Fire tenders have difficulty in maneuvering through narrow and broken city roads. Aska Equipments has launched a fire fighting motorcycle, the Blaze Buster, for rapid response

Aska Equipment showcased its Blaze Buster, a motorcycle with an all-in-one fire fighting equipment that is suitable for Class A (solid fires), Class B (liquid fires) and live electrical fire. A Royal Enfield Electra is mounted with two racks on either side that carry two containers with 10 litres of water mist coupled to Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) that suppresses fire quickly and effectively, a first aid box and the necessary alarm system that adhere to the norms. The bike is also equipped with a siren, blinkers up front for an even faster response in case of emergency. To mount these, a custom windshield is also installed.

In case of a fire, the ‘tender on two wheels’ will reach the spot and subdue the damage done quickly. No performance modifications are done on the bike and the weight increases by approximately 50kg. For the equipment, the water container comes with a recoilless gun that weighs 750g and has a constant operating pressure of 34 bar. The system has been tested for 600 refills in a year and is practically maintenance-free and with negligible collateral damage. The tank has a compressed air propellant mechanism with a lacing distance of 12 to 16m and with a universal bottle holder that gives the flexibility of using compressed air bottles of 2, 4.7 or 6.8 litres with a 200 or 300 bar pressure. In case the liquid finishes, contaminated water can also be used.

The Blaze Buster is literally a fire tender on two wheels for places where no other vehicle can go - a practical, effective and safe fire fighting vehicle.  Currently, the Blaze Buster is part of the Delhi Fire Services, J&K Fire Services, MP Fire Services fleets and more such places where wading through traffic becomes quite a task for a full-size fire tender.
