2015 ZigWheels Awards: SUV/UV of the year Hyundai Creta

The SU/UV is the fastest growing segment in India and is also a very important category for the Times Auto awards powered by ZigWheels. This year, we had four cars from very different seb segments that went head to head to see who came out on top. From a compact sub-4-meter SUV like the Mahindra TUV300 to a premium compact SUV like the extremely popular Hyundai Creta to a full sized SUV like the Chevrolet Trailblazer and a MPV like the Renault Lodgy, the SUV and MUV sectors were well represented here. 

And the Hyundai Creta eventually emerged on top. There is no doubt in denying the fact that the Hyundai Creta is one of the most talked about cars in recent history. In fact, considering Hyundai’s recent products like the Elite i20, Xcent and Grand i10, the Creta is en route to being a grand success for the Korean manufacturer.

At the jury round of our awards in Chennai, the Creta was voted as a genuinely good product that Hyundai can proudly flaunt. It looks quite good, has great interiors, is jammed pack with features and of course has a range of engine and gearbox options that cater to almost every type of buyer out there. 

A great value for money buy for anyone looking for a premium compact SUV with genuine levels of luxury, the Hyundai Creta is probably the best answer in this segment answer.
