Porsche Taycan

Porsche, despite having only one electric vehicle, the Taycan, in its portfolio, is enjoying tremendous success in the EV space across the globe. And to keep the pace going, the German-based sports carmaker will be diversifying its electric vehicle portfolio with one convertible and three new electric SUVs down the line.

The first of these four models will be its volume-based entry-level SUV, the Macan EV. Porsche has been testing the Macan EV for a while and it will be available from 2024 onwards. It should have all the traits the Macan currently offers: a compact SUV with the happiness and joy a Porsche delivers.

But if you fancy some wind-in-your-hair motoring with an electric powertrain from Porsche, your prayers will be answered. Soon after the Macan EV, the next model that will be completely electrified later this decade is the 718. Details are scarce, but what Porsche says is that the next-gen 718 will be electric-only for a while before it gets an ICE powertrain.

The Cayenne has always been popular and is one of Porsche’s best sellers all around the world. So it makes sense for the carmaker to offer its volume-based models with an all-electric powertrain. It will be based on the next-gen model that will also get electrified ICE powertrains. And like the current model, you can expect it to get the conventional SUV and sportier SUV-coupe body styles as well.
