The folks at Jeep are known to create special-edition Jeeps on several occasions. Canada Day was no exception. To celebrate Canada Day 2015, Jeep and the FCA Foundation partnered up with an international non-profit organisation to recreate a Jeep Wrangler out of 4,500 cans of food.

It took the students, who were between 12 and 18 years of age, some 12 hours to piece together more than 4,500 cans of food into a life-size replica of the Jeep SUV.

This full-size replica was displayed at Vancouver's waterfront Canada Place during the festivities, after which it was dismantled to provide 3,120 meals for the hungry through the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.

This not the first time that a full-size replica of a car has been built in Canada. Earlier last year, FCA had collaborated with the same NGO to create a Dodge Grand Caravan to celebrate the minivan’s 30th anniversary. This was built out of 30,000 cans.
