Tata Curvv: A Much Clearer Look At Its Interior Ahead Of Its Unveiling

Tata Motors has announced the booking procedure for its people's car, the Tata Nano. The first phase of the booking procedure for the car will begin from April 9, during which forms will be sold for Rs 300 each through over 30,000 locations across the country. These will include Tata dealerships, outlets of other Tata ventures like Westside, Croma, Tata Indicom etc. The forms will also come with vouchers worth Rs 1100 which can be used at these outlets.
Booking amount to be paid with the application form will be Rs 2,999. The forms will be accepted at 850 offices of SBI, 222 World of Titan outlets, 900 Tata Indicom outlets and 37 outlets of Westside across the country. The last date for acceptance of forms in the first phase is April 25, when one-lakh forms will be selected randomly from the ones received for delivery. Delivery of spanking new Nanos will begin from July 2009.
Tata Motors has also announced a price protection feature for prospective customers who have deposited the booking amount with the company but have not figured in the one-lakh customers selected for delivery. These customers will receive an interest of 8.5 percent p.a on their deposit until they receive delivery of the car, should they choose to not cancel their booking. If they do, the booking amount will be returned.
Finance schemes for the Nano are also underway, with 34 banks across the country offering a total of 15 financing options for the car. Details of these will be announced over the next three days.
