The facelifted fourth-generation Skoda Octavia is days away from its global premiere on February 14, and the Czech carmaker has given us our first look at the updated design through teaser sketches. Based on what has been revealed, it seems Skoda has not changed the overall shape of the Octavia and much like the Porsche 911, refined the details even further to keep it fresh.
The main changes in the design of the 2024 Octavia are visible up front, with an updated grille, sharper headlights, and a redesigned sportier bumper. The new LED headlights feature crystallinum-like elements that add a blue hue to the insides, but it is the new boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights that really catch your attention.
The alloy wheels get a new design too, while the overall side profile remains unchanged. Towards the back, the shape of the tail lamps is the same as the outgoing model, though the light signature has been tweaked. The redesigned rear bumper now gets shaper cuts and creases. Overall, the sketches suggest a sportier look for the new Octavia.
Skoda has not yet revealed the insides of the facelifted Octavia, but we can expect new upholstery, colour options, as well as some feature upgrades like a larger infotainment screen.
Moreover, Skoda has also teased a design sketch for the facelifted Octavia vRS. The performance-oriented version will get its own bumper with large, aggressive air vents, as well as sporty alloy wheels. It will likely get a sporty rear bumper as well. Globally, the Octavia will continue to be offered in both sedan and estate body styles.

Skoda will likely offer a slew of engine options on the Octavia internationally, including a 1.4-litre plug-in hybrid (for the VRS), a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, a 2-litre turbo petrol and a 2-litre diesel. Customers will be able to choose from both manual and automatic transmission options. While the regular Octavia is not coming back to India, we can expect the facelifted sedan to be offered in its vRS variant, which already has a strong fan following in the country.
But since it will be brought as a fully built import, we reckon this sporty Skoda sedan, with over 200 PS on tap, will be priced over Rs 40 lakh Granted, that’s a lot of money, but it’s still a lot more affordable than something like the BMW M340i. So which one would you choose? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
