The Swift comes with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol which makes 82 PS
It is available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT, model on test is the latter
Maruti claims that you will get 25.85 kmpl of fuel efficiency with the AMT
In our test, the real-world figures in city driving conditions stands at 15.84 kmpl
In highway conditions, we could manage to get 22.13 kmpl which is around 3 kmpl below the claimed number
Overall, we were impressed by the figures as the highway number was not too far from the claimed efficiency
The Swift is priced from Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom)
It rivals the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Citroen C3 and Tata Tiago
The Maruti Suzuki Swift also gets a manual transmission, but in this test, we used the AMT to compare the real world world figures with the claimed numbers
