Remember the quirky BMW CE 02 electric bike? That will now be produced in India, at TVS’ Hosur facility. It was even recently spied in India, you can check out those images here.
The e-bike is developed in collaboration with TVS, and at present, it will be manufactured in India for export around the world. However, it won’t be available in India just yet, but could be introduced in our market in limited numbers sometime next year.
A 2kWh battery pack and 11kW peak power hub motor ensure a 90km range 95kmph top speed. Sure these aren’t bad figures, but not something you would expect from an EV developed by BMW Motorrad and something that costs USD 7599 (Rs 6.26 lakh) in the US markets.
It runs on USD forks, adjustable rear shock absorbers, and a 239mm front disc with 220mm rear disc. And the 14-inch wheels are wrapped in 120/80 and 150/70 section tyres.
Now If and when it does come here, it could be priced similar to the recently launched TVS X, which is priced at Rs 2,49,990 (ex-showroom).
