Expected to priced around Rs 4-5.5 lakh, the new Maruti Suzuki SWIFT will be available in India sometime around 10th to 15 of August, 2011
The best-selling hatchback in the country will soon be replaced by a new model with a longer and more rounded appearance. Apart from this, the new model may not look very different from the current offering but it is an all-new car based on a lighter, sturdier and most importantly, larger base. In terms of its technical upgrades we expect the new Swift model to be fitted with a 1.2 liter VVT petrol engine capable of developing 92 bhp, and a new 75PS 1.3-litre DDis engine that has just gone on sale in Europe.
The Euro 5 emissions turbo charged engine on the new Swift DDiS is now even smoother and more responsive than before with maximum torque of 190Nm from just 1,750rpm. We expect this car to priced around Rs 4-5.5 lakh, and available to interested buyers in India sometime in August 2011.

swift is the best option on the deisal model,becoz its price is best of other then & maruti is a trusted brand of the indian situation.becoz the roads of the india r v zig zag.m still waiting 2 launch of swift vdi.

Simply the segment leader. and the diesel version is a rocket and most refined. need to enhance on the safety features though.

REST IS OK. BUT HAVE ANYONE THOUGHT ABOUT THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND SAFETY FEATURES. SWIFT LACKS AS COMPARE TO POWER IT HAS.

They should release the New Swift in some refreshingly new shades. I like the head and tail lamps of i20 and Punto than that of the swift.
