Mahindra Scorpio EX Model
Price has always been one of the biggest strengths of Mahindra’s well-consolidated line-up of Scorpio models in India, and now with the launch of its entry-level Scorpio EX model at just Rs. 7.21 lakhs Mahindra can be rest assured, that its Mahindra fan club in the country just got bigger.
The new 2.5 litre m2DiCR engine powered Mahindra Scorpio EX like its bigger brothers is also equipped with Mahindra’s fuel-saving Micro Hybrid Technology, and its lightweight build means that it is capable of producing 75bhp and 220Nm of toque.
Effortless acceleration enables the vehicle to go from 0 to 60 kmph in just 11.2 seconds, but what makes this new baby Scorpio a particularly interesting proposition is its best in class mileage of 14kmpl (as per ARAI), that makes it more environmentally friendly and totally compliant with stringent BSIV emission norms.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Vivek Nayer, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said “With its easy drivability, great mileage and refined performance, I am sure that the Scorpio Ex will be an instant hit with young customers looking for an affordable entry point into the Scorpio franchise.”
Additional features on the Scorpio EX include crash protection crumple zones, to protect passengers, and a digital immobilizer to protect the vehicle from theft. The Scorpio Ex will sell for Rs 7.21 lakhs and is available in four attractive colours namely Rocky Beige, Diamond White, Fiery Black and Mist Silver.
