Shell Lubricants introduced the revolutionary Gas-To-Liquid technology for the biking segment at India Bike Week 2015 in Goa. The Shell Advance Ultra with PurePlus Technology was introduced for motorcycles in the Indian market few months after the oil was launched for four-wheelers. What sets apart the Shell Advance Ultra with PurePlus Technology from other lubricants is the fact that it is manufactured by Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) process that converts natural gas into a crystal-clear base oil without any impurities that are found normally in crude oil. The Shell Advance Ultra with PurePlus Technology is a fully synthetic oil with a grade of 10W-40. The motorcyle oil has been priced at Rs 827 in our market.
Speaking at the launch, Nitin Prasad, Managing Director, Shell Lubricants India said: “We are proud to launch Shell Advance Ultra with PurePlus Technology - a revolutionary motorcycle oil which is a great testimony of Shell’s ‘from-track-to-road’ philosophy. We invest more than any other oil company in research and development. Thus, we are able to leverage our technological leadership and innovation in the lab and on the track and transfer them into a product for everyday use on the road. With an ever increasing number of motorcycles on Indian roads, we believe Shell Advance Ultra with PurePlus Technology will improve the riding experiences of the bikers, given the varied climatic and geographical conditions in the country.”
