India Yamaha registered a 29 per cent growth over the same month last year, selling over 70,000 two wheelers last month

India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd has sold over 70,000 units in October 2015, registering a growth of 29 per cent over the same period last year.

The company sold 70800 units in October 2015 as against 54698 units sold in October last year in the domestic market

Exports for October 2015 recorded 12797 units which are 5.34% more than 12148 units logged in October 2014.

"The month has ended on a very positive note for us as our recent launches of new color variants of FZ-FI, Fazer-FI and single seat YZF-R15S also made it to the growth trajectory. The continued expansion of customer touch points to Tier 2 and 3 cities have also enabled us to reach out to a larger set of target customers which is expected to drive volumes in future," said Roy Kurian, Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd.

A statement said India Yamaha's innovative ongoing customer-centric activities and exciting product line up including Yamaha Saluto, Fascino and YZF-R3 continued to strengthen their position with great sale numbers across the country.
