Yamaha holds a strong place in the Indian market and the biggest testimony of this statement is the upward growing sales graph. The company recorded sales figures of 25,784 units in the month of March this year as compared to a 17,864 in India in the same month last year. The Japanese two-wheel manufacturer exported 1388 more vehicles than last year giving a total sales figure of 36,768 in March this year.

The Yamaha R 15
Yamaha made its Indian debut with motorcycles in 1985 and became a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Company Limited, Japan. The birth of all Yamaha motorcycles for the Indian market as well export markets, takes place at Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh and Faridabad in Haryana. The company has 15 bikes in its portfolio with a huge range starting from a 100cc to litre class.
Yamaha has been working its marketing strategy well especially with initiatives like Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS), R15 One Make Race Championship, and more but consumers hope that the rising sales figures do not affect the after-sales service, which Yamaha has been known for.
