From motocross to dirt track racing, CS Santosh has made his presence felt in all, and how. But now he has his eyes set on something big. A lot bigger actually – the gruelling Dakar Rally. The Bengaluru-lad will ride the Red Bull-KTM in the 2015 Dakar Rally that is set to commence on 4 January.
Talking about the upcoming challenge and his machine for 2015 Dakar Rally, Santosh said, “I rode the same motorcycle at the Morocco Rally two months ago and thankfully I am still fresh from that. I’m thrilled to be the first Indian to be at Dakar. From my crash at Abu Dhabi last year, which left me with third degree burns, to standing here right now, it’s been an amazing journey.”
Santosh has been training hard to make it so far and for the big event in Argentina early next year. He participated in the World Cross Country Rally Championship this year, and came out with impressive results in Abu Dhabi and Qatar.
Aside from his participation in the World Cross Country Rally Championship, on local soil Santosh has been a four-time Supercross Champion and the only rider to have won the Raid De Himalaya Trophy in the very first attempt. Santosh has also secured several victories in the Sri Lankan and Asian Championship.
Aside from CS Santosh, TVS Racing will also be participating in the 2015 Dakar Rally. Also Read: TVS Racing to compete in 2015 Dakar Rally
