Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza waiting period climbs to five months

Maruti Suzuki has recently launched the Vitara Brezza, a compact SUV offering by the Indian car manufacturer. The new offering was launch in the second week on March and has already been able to rack up more than 27,000 bookings. With the increasing number of bookings, consequently the waiting period is also going up. Now, sources close to the manufacturer have confirmed that a waiting period is being observed across all variants of the Vitara Brezza.

Out of the seven variants available in the market, the customers who have opted for LDI, LDI (O), ZDI and ZDI + variants are facing a waiting period of four months whereas the waiting period for the VDI and VDI (O) variants is around three months. The top-end variant of the Vitara Brezza, the ZDI + dual tone colour variant (contrasting roof colour), is experiencing a waiting period of five months.

The manufacturer will be updating the dealerships with the waiting period duration and vehicle availability on regular periodic basis so that the same can be conveyed to the respective customers. Maruti Suzuki will also be keeping a tab on the delivery plan of the compact SUV to prevent any deviation from the booking list.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is the manufacturer’s first compact SUV offering and comes at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh for the base variant which goes up to Rs 9.68 lakh for the top-end variant (both prices are ex-showrrom, Delhi). The Vitara Brezza competes against the likes of the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300 in the compact SUV segment.
