Style and exclusivity have been the two major driving forces behind the success of the Vespa scooters in its second coming in India. To cash on this further, Piaggio has just introduced a special edition model based on the Vespa VX called Esclusivo.
What makes the Vespa Esclusivo special from the standard version are a range of cosmetic changes. These include new body graphics, contrast stitching on the seat, and a badge claiming it to be ‘Esclusivo’. Besides these the scooter will also be offered in matt black colour on body and alloy wheels, which till now was only available in the Vespa S scooter.
Piaggio has decided to offer just 1,000 units of the Vespa Esclusivo to buyers in Pune and Hyderabad only. What makes these scooters really special is that each scooter will have a unique number between 1 to 1000, taking the exclusive factor to the next level.
The Esclusivo is just a visual upgrade and mechanically remains identical to the Vespa VX model. The limited edition Esclusivo carries forward a 125cc air-cooled motor capable of producing 10.1PS of power and 10.06Nm of torque and is mated with a CVT transmission.
At Rs 73,387 the limited edition Esclusivo scooter costs Rs 3000 more than the standard variant of the Vespa VX which retails at Rs 70,387 ex-showroom Pune. It is the price you pay for luxury.
