TVS XL 100 introduced in six more markets in India

TVS Motor has extended the sale of the XL 100 moped to six more markets of Kerala, Pondicherry, Andaman Nicobar, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttarkhand. The XL 100 is priced at Rs 29,914 in Trivandrum

TVS Motor Company had introduced the XL 100 moped in the state of Uttar Pradesh in October 2015 and Tamil Nadu last month. Now, the two-wheeler manufacturer has further introduced the moped in six more states of Kerala, Pondicherry, Andaman Nicobar, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttarkhand. The TVS XL 100 is one of the most affordable and multi-utility two-wheeler from the company which carries a sticker price of Rs 29,914 (ex-showroom, Trivandrum).

The TVS XL 100 borrows the same shell of the XL Super moped but receives its fire power from a more efficient engine. The XL 100 is powered by a 99.7cc air-cooled 4-stroke, single cylinder petrol engine which generates 4.2PS of power at 6,000rpm and 6.3Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a single speed gearbox. The XL 100 weighs at 75 kg and is claimed by the manufacturer to return a mileage of 67kmpl and top speed of 60kmph. Fuel tank capacity is of 4-litre including 1.3-litre for reserve.

The TVS XL 100 is capable of carrying a payload of 130 kg which is cushioned by telescopic forks at the front and oil filled shock absorbers at the rear. The moped rides on tyres which are mounted to 16 inch spoked wheels at both ends. Braking duties are handled by 80 mm and 110 mm diameter drums at front and rear respectively. The TVS XL 100 is offered in five colour options including Black, Grey, Red, Blue, and Green.
