American supercar firm, Trion, plans to to field a new 400kmph Bugatti Veyron challenger

Trion Nemesis

Trion Supercars, an American start-up automotive firm, has announced its plans to develop a 2,000PS hypercar, christened Nemesis. The car manufacturer claims that Nemesis will have a top speed of 400kmph, and will be able to hit 100kmph in 2.8 seconds.

The California-based automotive firm claims that their Nemesis will compete with the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport which packs 1,200PS of power and has a top speed of 430kmph, and the Koenigsegg One:1 which boasts of a top speed of 440kmph and 1,360PS of power.

Trion has announced that a V8 twin-turbocharged petrol engine will run under the hood of their Nemesis and will be capable of producing 2,000PS of power. The power will be transferred on to the tarmac with the help of an eight-speed sequential transmission.

The California-based firm says that Nemesis is currently in the earliest stages of development, but the first prototype models will be built next month. Trion states that the hypercar’s body will be made from lightweight and strong carbon fibre material while the chassis will be made out of Inconel alloys. The car will also feature a predator mode which will modify the car’s height, interior illumination, exhaust, suspension and even rev limits.
