The three new Bonnevile variants are all expected to get liquid cooled, upgraded engines and ABS. The bikes will form part of Triumph’s global 2017 product line-up

New Triumph Bonneville and New Bonneville T10

Three liquid-cooled Triumph Bonnevilles have been spotted undergoing tests recently in Spain.

Two Bonnevilles with liquid-cooled motors are seen together in one spy picture. One appears to be the base Triumph Bonneville with cast wheels, while the other seems to be a new version of the Triumph Bonneville T100 with larger wheels with spokes. A third image shows a café racer version, expected to be called the Street Tracker, or it may even get the historical Speed Twin moniker.

Both the café racer and the new Bonneville T100 are expected to get upgraded engines – an all-new liquid cooled, 1100cc parallel twin engine making around 90PS; that is a significant 22PS jump in power than what the 865cc air-cooled parallel twin of the current Triumph Bonneville makes.  The new base Bonneville may however get a smaller engine, displacing less than 1100cc.

The new bikes however, are expected to be introduced as 2017 models when the need for Euro4 compliance and mandatory ABS kicks in. That’s when the entire Bonneville range – including the Bonneville, Bonneville T100 and the Thruxton currently on sale in India – are likely to be replaced.

We know Triumph India is already planning a launch of a new bike later this year. And that could very well be the Triumph Trophy, a heavyweight sport tourer which will complete Triumph India’s product offerings in the sport touring category as well.
