Lamborghini Squadra Corse gave the new Lamborghini Huracan GT3 its first test at the Vallelunga circuit. Adrian Zaugg and Fabio Babini, the two official Lamborghini Squadra Corse test drivers, drove the Huracan GT3 on the circuit near Rome.
Commenting on the first test of the Lamborghini, Giorgio Sanna , Lamborghini R&D official test and racing driver, said, “I’m pretty much satisfied with this first test of the new Huracan GT3. We still have plenty of work to do to be ready for the upcoming season, but performance and reliability feedback is encouraging. I have no doubt that this car will more than hold its own in international GT3 competitions.”
The Lamborghini Huracan GT3 marks the Italian carmaker’s first complete in-house production of a GT3 car with support from Dallara Automobili that is also its partner in the Lamborghini Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo’s development.
The Huracan GT3 is set to make its debut in the Blancpain Endurance series in 2015 and also in races in North America and Asia beginning 2016.
