Sachin and his passion for cars

No matter how much each one of us loves this little master and his style of playing, little do we know about his likes, dislikes and passion! How many of us are aware that Sachin got his name after his family's favorite musician Sachin Dev Burman? How many of us know that when he is not hitting fours and sixes, he loves to watch Formula 1? Did you know that his first car was a Maruti Suzuki 800? Are you aware that he loves to drive around in Mumbai late at night in his Ferrari's and Porsche's? So, here is a lowdown on some of the fantastic cars this 'master blaster' owns.

Ferrari 360 Modena Spyder

As we have already stated above that Sachin first car was a Maruti 800, we of course would not talk about it. Who wants to know about Maruti 800 right? And we all are aware of the controversy that hounded the superstar when Fiat gifted him a Ferrari Modena 360, when he equaled Sir Don Bradman's record of 29 test century. The company has taken the burden of paying the import duty upon themselves. Now that is what we call it Sachin's charisma!

Nissan GT-R

The self-confessed car enthusiast owns a Palio, a hatchback offered by Fiat. Sachin had signed the limited edition version of Palio S10, which was launched by Ferrari. After selling his Ferrari Modena, Sachin Tendulkar bought a shiny new Nissan GT-R in July 2011 at a hefty price tag of Rs. 2.5 crore.

Mercedes-Benz C36 AMG

Apart from that oh so fantastic sports car, Sachin Tendulkar owns a Merc C36 AMG. The ‘God of Cricket’ has been seen taking his Merc for late-night drives in Mumbai.

Mercedes-Benz 600SL
The Mercedes 600SL is also one of his favourite cars! Sachin confesses that he loves to speed up his car and enjoys the thrill he feels seeing the speedometer go from 0 to 100 kmph.

BMW 7 Series
Sachin might have more faith in the Italian marquee, Fiat, but that doesn't stop him for being a proud owner of BMW 7 series. Apart from that this little master also owns a couple of other BMWs and Porsche amongst his slew of cars.

Opel Astra
In the likes of BMW, Ferrari and Merc, the Opel Astra might not figure in the list of dream cars, but Sachin has black Opel Astra parked in his garage, which he won in a Sharjah tournament for his outstanding performance.
