A new generation of the Fiat Grand Punto will make an appearance at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show

The new Grande Punto will hit showrooms in Europe at the beginning of 2012. The new model will retain the existing personality but will come with new exterior colours, fresh upholstery and noteworthy technological changes. The car will host an 85hp 0.9 twin-turbo along with an 85hp 1.3-litre Multijet. 0.9 TwinAir turbo produces 85hp at 5500rpm and 145Nm at 2000rpm while the 1.3-litre Multijet will also produce 85hp with a torque of 200Nm at 1500rpm.

On the outside, the direction indicators are placed diagonally over the fog lamps alongside the air intake. The rear bumper also gets a new shape with distinguished lines. The ‘Punto’ tag will be seen bang in the centre under the Fiat logo on the boot of the car. As far as the insides are concerned, an all new instrument cluster and a funkier looking dashboard and better upholstery on the seats, make for a much better looking Punto from the inside than its previous generations.

The car will be fitted with sophisticated infotainment system – Blue&Me. The eco: drive info system, analyses driving style in real time and gives the driver tips on how to reduce environmental impact and optimising consumption of fuel.

The car will be available in three metallic colours - Turquoise, Ruby Red and Graphite Grey with options of colours of the interior fabrics as well (red, blue and grey).
