In the midst of three continents hosting auto shows, Shanghai (Asia), New York Auto Show (North America), and Monaco (Europe), Opel silently reveals its new Corsa Nurburgring Edition

A supermini based on the FF layout, the Opel Corsa has been in production lines for almost three decades and four-generations now. The car has been sold under an array of brand names, Vauxhall Nova, Holden Barina and Chevrolet Chevy to name a few. 

This new Corsa from is the hottest looking hatch ever seen from the house of Opel.  It is called the Corsa OPC Nurburgring Edition and it is not named so just for the kicks of it. Tweaking the 1.6litre turbo four engine the car produces an awesome 210hp with a 230Nm which can be raised to a power-puller of 250Nm – 280Nm after the over boost function is set in motion. The General Motors subsidiary is fitted with a multi-plate mechanical limited-slip differential in order to make the car more interesting.

Balstein chassis suspension, Brembo brakes, traction control, stability management system and a recalibrated ABS are some technologies on the feature list of the car. On the exterior the rubber is mounted on 18-inch alloys, a dual tipped stainless steel exhaust and more.

The car can soar at a 100 from standstill in 6.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 230km/h. The car was tested at the World’s toughest rack – Nurburgring and it proved brilliance in handling and driving dynamics especially in the North Loop. Offering a rare mix of power, performance and looks this only 500units of this limited edition OPC will be produced.
