Making its world debut at the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show, Nissan brings in innovation, energetic design and fresh style in form of Invitation Concept

Symbolising Nissan's vision for an all-new compact car, the company revealed a head-turning hatchback concept, the Invitation, at the Geneva Motor Show. To be launched in UK by 2013, this dynamic concept car will be manufactured at Nissan's Sunderland Plant in the UK alongside one of its popular B-segment crossover, the Juke.

Posing strong competition to the already existing segment players like the Hyundai i20 and Kia Rio, the Invitation is more than just a great looking car that's fun and frugal to drive. To aim an ultra-low CO2 emission target of under 100g/km and class-leading fuel efficiency, Nissan has combined advanced engine technology, its acclaimed lightweight platform and an aerodynamically efficient body.

On the outside, the aggressively sculpted nose and tail treatments featuring prominent LED lighting alongside sleek and youthful lines add the required dynamic character to the car. Inside, the Invitation is upscale and offers ample space for five.

All said and done, the concept packs some of the most advanced technology. Features like advanced around-view monitor (AVM) safety technology (seen for the first time on a B-segment car) to make reversing and parallel parking stress-free and safety shield to keep the driver aware of what is happening around the car – make the Invitation among the safest cars to be in.
