Next generation Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R launch in 2016

This will come as gust of good news for Kawasaki fans. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has hinted that it has started developing the next generation of its litre-class superbike offering. The 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R is in its final stages of development and will be launched by the second half of 2016. The above news has been confirmed by Roda, the Team Manager of Kawasaki’s World Superbike racing effort.

He also hinted that the next generation Kawasaki ZX-10R will be developed based on the regulations of the World Superbike Series (WSBK). This really doesn’t come as a surprise as Aprilia, BMW and Ducati have developed their motorcycles on this same philosophy. The new regulations of WSBK mean that the race bikes can’t be modified by a higher percentage from the stock machine. Owing to this fact, we have seen motorcycles like the Yamaha YZF-R1M, Ducati Panigale R, and Aprilia RSV4 RF being launched with 200PS plus output and top-shelf cycle parts. 

Roda also suggested that the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R will have a reworked powerplant pushing out in excess of 200PS and it will be loaded to the brim with electronic package to make the bike more manageable. 2016 could be an interesting year for litre-class aficionados as apart from Kawasaki its Japanese rivals, Suzuki and Honda are expected to unveil the next generation GSX-R and CBR respectively. Kawasaki have been on the onslaught as it launched the Ninja H2 and H2R which are the only supercharged litre-class motorcycle on sale currently while the H2R has the tag of the most powerful production motorcycle on sale at close to 300PS.
