New Ford Fiesta: Fashion Sense!

The new Ford Fiesta is yet to hit the market, however Ford India has been following a strong brand promotion strategy across the country and sure enough they already have eyeballs fixated on their new car. The new Fiesta boasts of a robust stance, clean flowing lines and a rather sporty stance. The design is rather striking and a big shift from the more contemporary designs that Ford has stuck to in the past. With such a monumental shift in terms of design, it only made sense to illustrate this in a rather innovative manner through a ‘Fiesta Inspired’ fashion show.

The ‘Ford Fiesta Futuristic Collection’ by Swapnil Shinde proved to be a hit with the throngs of people that gathered at the Fiesta Café located at the Select Citywalk Mall in Saket, Delhi. According to the designer, each design has been crafted while keeping in mind a feature of the new Fiesta. They say cars can be inspirational, and here we get to witness this statement in the literal sense!

I, however, am not a fashion critic and at best I can say that the designs looked bold, bright and rather chic. Inspiration does take on a more qualitative form on such occasions, but one thing was definitely evident and that is the fact that the new Fiesta is quite the looker and there is ample enough reason to see why this car could motivate a designer to make clothes that are inspired from this vehicle’s lines.

No doubt, Ford India has a lot riding on the success of the new Fiesta and they are surely working towards building its image as a smart, sexy and purposeful machine. The fashion show was an ideal visual translation of design, however what remains to be seen is just how this car performs
