Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza compact SUV officially teased

Maruti Suzuki has officially announced the name of its brand new compact SUV which will be named the Vitara Brezza. The new Vitara Brezza is the official name of the SUV which was known to all as the XA Alpha or the YBA. The new compact SUV will be unveiled in the Indian Auto Expo and will be officially launched later in February. The new Vitara Brezza will go up against the likes of the Hyundai Creta and the Renault Duster.

The new Suzuki Vitara Brezza will get both petrol and diesel engines. the Vitara Brezza will be introduced with the 1.4-litre K14B petrol unit that is also seen on the Ertiga, and makes 95PS and 130Nm. The Maruti Suzuki YBA will also come in diesel form with a 1.3-litre DDiS unit that produces 90PS of peak power and 200Nm of torque. Also expect the Vitara Brezza to get the 1.6-litre diesel that you get on the S-Cross making 320Nm of peak torque.

From the picture you can see how the Vitara Brezza comes with a two tone setup and a floating roof design that looks very smart and will look quite appealing in terms of overall design. The Vitara Brezza also gets large five spoke wheels and a plastic cladding on the sides.

The dashboard broadly resembles the one from the carmaker’s S-cross, predominantly black with mounted controls and a 7-inch SmartPlay system, speculated to come with Apple CarPlay that made its debut with the Baleno. Although not confirmed, the Vitara Brezza will also feature leather interiors on the top of the line versions. Expect the Brezza to go up against the compact SUVs from the likes of Hyundai, Honda, Ford and Mahindra.
