M S Dhoni announces Bike Festival of India

In company of Biking communities Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced that the first edition of the Bike Festival of India (BFI) will be held in October 2014 at the Buddh International Circuit. BFI will serve as a one of its kind platform for moto-maniacs with a prime focus of emphasising on the importance of safety. What aims to become South East Asia’s largest biking festival, will bring together more than 120 biking communities from across the country in a series of events.

Talking about the Bike Festival of India, MS Dhoni said, “Biking for me is a passion, which is why I am excited to be part of this initiative that not only is an adventure in its form but also promotes safe biking. BFI will be an annual platform for the biking community to meet, interact and share adventures together. Meeting with the presidents of various biking communities from all over India has been enlightening and I look forward to joining them sometime on the track.”

BFI will officially kick off in style sometime in the first quarter of 2014 with a cross country bike ride mapping each and every state of India. This ride is said to put India in the Guinness Book of World Records. BFI has numerous events spread throughout the calendar year including a racing championship at the BIC, a dirt bike championship as well as a TSD Rally Championship. The festival itself has been scheduled for October and will include various stunt shows, motorcycle accessories stalls, food stalls and more. There will be no professional restriction to participate in the Bike Festival of India and will be open for anyone who loves motorcycles.
