Lamborghini and Italian tyre manufacturer, Pirelli, have been together since 1963. To celebrate this longtime association, the Italian supercar builder has revealed the Lamborghini Aventador Pirelli Edition. The Aventador Pirelli Edition will be built in limited numbers and will be available in both coupe and roadster body styles.
Differentiating the Lamborghini Aventador Pirelli Edition from the standard Aventador models are a number of unique elements. The exterior sports a two-tone colour scheme with two options. The first is matte black for the roof, pillars, rearview mirrors, engine hood and the front, rear and side air intakes. This is in contrast with six glossy finishes for the rest of the body.
The second option is glossy black for the upper parts of the car and air intakes, in contrast with four matte finishes for the rest of the exterior. Both versions feature red striping and Pirelli P Zero tyres.
Inside, the Aventador Pirelli Edition gets black Alcantara upholstery with red contrast stitching. The red stripe runs across the interior ceiling and the seats. Each Pirelli Edition Aventador is also fitted with a plaque which bears the Pirelli name.
The Lamborghini Aventador Pirelli Edition retains the same engine configuration as that of the the Aventador LP 700-4. The Pirelli Edition car will come equipped with the 6.5-litre V-12 engine delivering 691PS of power. The car will sprint from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds with a top-speed of 349kmph.
Reports suggest that the deliveries of this limited-edition car will begin from mid-2015. The Italian carmaker hasn’t revealed the pricing of the Lamborghini Aventador Pirelli Edition yet.
