After a long wait, Jaguar will finally debut its first SUV offering, the F-Pace at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show next month

Jaguar will finally present to the media and public a production version of their concept C-X17 which they showcased three years ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The British luxury car brand will take the wraps off it’s ever performance crossover offering next month at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Earlier this year, Jaguar had run the F-Pace as a support car for Team Sky at the Tour de France.

The F-Pace has been based on a Lightweight Aluminium Architecture which Jaguar claims will enable it to deliver supreme handling, precision and control without sacrificing ride quality. It gets a double wishbone front suspension setup and an integral link rear. To ensure that the car is as impressive off the road as on it, Jaguar has fitted the F-Pace All-Wheel Drive System that delivers torque on demand.

Mike Cross, Chief Engineer, Jaguar Land Rover said “We’ve tested ride and handling to extremities in all environments and in all conditions, and the result is that the new F-PACE is as engaging and rewarding to drive as it is going to be enjoyable to own. As soon as you get into the vehicle you know immediately that it’s a great place to be.”

With the F-Pace, Jaguar has worked a lot to ensure that the brand stays true to its DNA despite venturing into an entirely new segment. Although Jaguar has taken a little longer than Audi, BMW and Mercedes to enter the SUV class of cars, it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against its arch rivals. As far as the engine and other details are concerned, we will get to know them when the car is unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Jaguar will launch the F-pace in 2016.
