Honda Dream Yuga and CBR150 unveiled among 7 new models
Models showcased comprise 5 Indian mass production models and 2 international models

Honda Motorycles and Scooters India (HMSI) on Thursday unveiled 7 new models, including 5 Indian mass production models at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The highlight is the 110 cc mass motorcycle Dream Yuga, which is expected to go into production by May 2012 and priced around Rs 46,000.
The other mass-produced two wheelers showcased include the Honda CBR150, the 2012 Honda CBR250 (which is essentially the same bike but with new racing colours), a revised Honda CB Shine and Dio automatic scooter. Among big bikes, Honda unveiled the VT1300CX and the new CBR 1000RR Fireblade.
Honda also has on display its first mass-production motorcycle, the iconic 1949 “Dream D” and World MotoGP champion Casey Stoner’s RC 212V MotoGP bike.
The Dream Yuga is powered by a 110 cc engine that develops 9 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and will deliver a claimed best-in-class mileage of 72 kmpl. The bike comes with optional tubeless tyres and is touted to be the most maintenance free bike in mass motorcycle category.
The CBR 150R is a stripped-down version of the Honda CBR 250R, which won the Indian Motorcycle of the Year award. The 150 cc bike is a powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that develops 18 PS @ 10,500 rpm. The CBR 150R looks similar to its 250 cc cousin and features front and rear disc brakes, mono suspension, 17-inch alloys, tubeless tyres, tandem seat, and an O2 sensor that significantly reduces emissions.
The refreshed Honda CB Shine is all about two new colour options – Force Silver Metallic and Monsoon Grey Metallic¬- and fresh decals. Besides this, the CB Shine will soon be available in 3 variants: spoke wheels with drum brakes (with tuff-up tube), alloy wheels with drum brakes (with tubeless tyres) and alloy wheels with disc brakes.
The new Honda Dio now comes with a 110 cc engine – the same as on the Activa - replacing¬ the 102 cc mill on the earlier model. The updated model boasts reduced emissions and claims to deliver 15% more fuel efficiency. There’s a new Combi-brake feature for improved stopping power, enhanced leg space and tubeless tyres – an industry first for automatic scooters.
Honda also unveiled the VT1300CX chopper that sports a 1,312 cc liquid-cooled, 52-degree V-twin engine. The VT1300CX will be available from end of February 2012 and in two colour options: Glint Blue Wave Metallic and Graphite Metallic.
