While spy shots of the facelifted Renault Duster have been making their rounds on the web, we got a clear picture of what the car will look like at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Renault-owned Dacia took the wraps off the 2015 Duster SUV. On the outside there aren’t many changes on the new Duster except for the diamond cut alloy wheels and a new body colour option. On the inside the car has been fitted with an updated media navigation system and rear camera.
The model that will come to India is expected to continue with the same 1.6-litre petrol unit that makes 104PS and 148Nm. It will also be offered with the bread and butter 1.5-litre diesel mill. This unit is offered in two states of tune – a 85PS/200Nm version and 110PS/245Nm variant. The lesser powered diesel unit comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while the 110PS variant gets a 6-speed manual transmission. Going by the demand for automatic SUVs in India, Renault is also expected to bring in a 6-speed CVT. Although Renault didn't showcase the automatic version of the Duster, they did have the transmission on display. In fact, the same transmission was also fitted on the Lodgy hinting at a automtic version coming in soon.
In the Indian market, the Duster will goes against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Mahindra Scorpio and in its own way the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross.
