2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn unveiled

Rolls-Royce may be considered as an ultimate fantasy of luxury and opulence on wheels by many. The British car marque has decided to reinstate this belief of car enthusiasts by unveiling the new 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn.

Despite featuring a familiar design like the Wraith, the new luxury cabriolet has 80 per cent unique exterior details. This new car sports a long bonnet, short front overhang, a long rear overhang and a high shoulder line. The 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn features a massive radiator grille which is recessed by around 45mm whilst the lower front bumper has been extended by 53mm when compared with the Wraith.

The luxury carmaker states that it wanted to create the quietest convertible car in the world and has worked hard to ensure that the 2016 Dawn is as quiet as other Rolls-Royce models. The British car marque claims that the roof of the 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn retracts at speeds of up to 50kmph in around 20 seconds.

The cabin of this new car exudes a premium feel with the use of plenty of wood and leather. The car features a 2+2 seating configuration. The 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn also receives four-zone automatic climate control and a bespoke premium audio system with sixteen individually-tuned speakers.

A 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine churning out 563PS of power and 780Nm of torque runs under the hood of this new car. The 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn sprints from 0-100kmph in 4.9 seconds with a top-speed of 250kmph.

The 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn is set to go on sale early next year in the international market, priced at about Rs 2.5 crore.
