Ferrari F60America unveiled

Ferrari has taken the wraps off a special edition Ferrari model exclusively for the United States. Made to celebrate Ferrari's 60th year in North America, Ferrari has gone back to its 1950s and 60s tradition of producing strictly limited edition, built-to-order cars for wealthy clients and demanding dealers.

The new car, called the Ferrari F60America will be limited to only 10 cars and will feature Ferraris most successful formula in the United States, a V12 engine embodied in a custom convertible body. The 10 F60Americas will pay homage to the 1967 275 GTS4 NART Spider, the open version of the 275 GTB4 that American importer, Luigi Chinetti, specifically requested from Enzo Ferrari for his US clients.

The F60America features a rebodied version of the F12 with even more muscular side profiles and curves that further enhance both the stance and the overall look of the car. The classic Ferrari single front grille with chrome finish and integrated air intakes for the brakes dominates the front of the car. Two leather-trimmed roll-hoops are backed by carbon-fibre-trimmed flying buttresses that stretch from behind the cockpit to the rear.

The F60America is powered by Ferrari's mid-front-mounted V12 which enables the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. The interior of the F60America features an asymmetrical design with sporty red trim that is inspired by historic Ferrari racecars from the NART era. The racing seats also feature a special American flag motif on the centre of each seat and backrest. The F60America also comes with a temporary fabric roof that can be used at speeds up to 120kmph. Continuing with the NART theme, the F60America also gets a dose of NART livery and a special 60^th Anniversary logos on the exterior and interior of the car.
