Ducati to unveil Monster 1200 R on Sep 14

Ducati has released teaser images of the latest addition to its Monster range of naked streetfighters – the Monster 1200 R, which will be unveiled on September 14, 2015.

According to an official release, the Monster 1200 R will be the most powerful Ducati naked ever, with a more powerful engine, a sportier chassis and an advanced design.

The Ducati Monster 1200 R will be unveiled at Volkswagen Group Night in Frankfurt, ahead of the press launch on track on September 29.

The engine will possibly be borrowed from the Multistrada 1200, Ducati’s Testastretta DVT, which makes over 160PS.

The Monster 1200 R however, will not be available as Ducati’s range of bikes on offer in India, but will be made available on customer demand, although that involves the full range of customs and import duties on the price.
