Delivery of top-end Maruti Suzuki Ertiga variants delayed
Demand for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ZDi has gone out the door and around the block. Maruti is unable to cope with demand and has put an indefinite waiting period for the top end diesel ZDi variant

There has been a strong demand for the new Maruti Suzuki MPV Ertiga since its launch. And the recent hike in petrol prices has resulted in an even stronger demand for diesel variants. This has created quite a row over deliveries of the vehicle, especially the top end ZDi and ZXi variants.
While the base and mid range LDi and VDi have a delivery period of three to four months, the waiting period for the top end petrol Ertiga ZXi is about six months while the waiting period for the top end diesel Ertiga ZDi is indefinite.
Bookings for the Ertiga ZDi made during the first week after launch had a delivery period of six weeks that has stretched to an indefinite period.
We tried to contact Maruti officials about the lengthy waiting period for the Eritga but upon enquiry they denied any such issues.

I have had the same problem. I booked a Zxi in mid-June. Now the dealer says that it will be another month or two. I think this is shocking behaviour from the Maruti company and it's dealers.

In my case.. we have booked the maruti ertiga vdi in the month of June..the dealer promised me that the vehicle will be delivered with in one month if we make the full payment.. we have made the full payment in that month itself. till now there is no clue about the delivery of the vehicle.. It's nothing but interest loss to me.. I think nothing but cheating...

Never make this mistake. Well its too late for you, but for others, never make the full payment. If on loan, instruct your bank to release the amount only when your booked vehicle has reached the showroom.

Hi, I have booked in the month of June for ZXi. Till today there is no news or updates on the delivery. Recently I have visited Maruti dealer. To my surprise, they have come out with Z varients with/without Alloy wheel options. And for the Alloy wheel option, there is almost 18K more compare to the price during my booking. Not very sure, what's the strategy here. And I don't hear any price rise from MSIL.
