Delhi Auto Expo 2012: Bajaj Auto showcase plans

After securing a firm grip over the commuter segment, Bajaj Auto plans to up the ante with Kawasaki's Ninja Range in the litre class. A sportier stance 600 cc Ninja will also be unveiled. And KTM Duke 200 will also be launched.

After dominating the sub-250 cc segment in the country for over a decade, Bajaj Auto now plans to step up the ladder in the 600 cc segment with an updated Ninja 650R. Add details about the 650R, what's new, how it compares against the existing model sold in India, power and torque figures, etc.

The bike will be imported to the country through the company’s tie-up with Kawasaki. The Ninja 250R, which it launched earlier, has been an ice-breaker for Bajaj and a start-off point for a new face to Indian motorcycling.

There are also rumours of Bajaj springing up a surprise showcase of the new Pulsar, which is expected to roll out of showrooms early 2012. Bajaj will also finally get the ball rolling on KTM’s entry into India with the launch of the Duke 200 at the Expo. The Duke 200 which would be yet another segment of on/off road vehicle. NEED MORE INFO ON DUKE. And while talking about stepping up, Bajaj also plans to bring in the Ninja ZX14R and the ZX 10R for the Indian two-wheeler market. The Ninja’s will currently be imports into the country and will attract a substantial amount of tax. However, KTM will be the centre stage of the Bajaj stall.
