There is a lot happening in the international motorcycle scene with the ongoing EICMA 2015, world’s biggest motorcycle expo at Milan. With manufacturers like Ducati, Yamaha and Honda bringing in their latest and best at EICMA 2015, BMW couldn’t fall behind. BMW Motorrad has unveiled the F 700 and F 800 GS with minor cosmetic updates in Munich.
Both these motorcycles get a newly crafted tank cover and an ignition cover. The knee covers on the F 700 GS and a radiator cover on the larger F 800 GS too has been changed. Both these models will also get a partially engraved new model inscription. The seats too have been redesigned and now get a two-tone fabric. To ensure further comfort and riding joy, BMW will also offer both these models with five possible seat heights. Moreover you can also get an optional lowered suspension. Thanks to all of this, the seat height can range from 765mm – 860mm for the F 700 GS and 820mm – 920 mm for the F 800 GS.
Both these models are powered by a 798cc 4 valve 2 cylinder motor. In the F 700 GS this motor makes 75 horses of peak power and 77Nm of maximum torque. The larger F 800 GS on the other hand produces 86PS and 83Nm. Additionally both these bikes are also in line with BMW’s Safety 360 philosophy and come equipped with the high performance BMW Motorrad ABS system as standard. Automatic Stability Control and Electronic Suspension Adjustment however are additional extras.
