Bajaj is all-set to launch the next generation Avenger motorcycle on October 27th in India. For this purpose, Bajaj has started a special website for the upcoming new cruiser motorcycle with a live timer for the event. The Bajaj Avenger is among the most popular cruiser motorcycles on sale in India and also among the longest running two-wheeler product in our two-wheeler market. The 2015 Bajaj Avenger is expected to be offered in three variants. The cruiser motorcycle will be offered in two 220cc variants - Bajaj Avenger 220 Street and Avenger 220 Cruise. While the Avenger 220 twins have been spotted at dealerships, the Avenger 150 hasn’t be spotted yet and Bajaj officials are tight lipped about the new motorcycle. Bajaj have also teased the image of the fuel tank of the Avenger Street with restyled graphics on a matte black tank and Avenger badge. Few dealerships have also started accepting bookings for the Bajaj Avenger for Rs 1,000 to 5,000.

The Avenger Cruise retains the similar look of the current Bajaj Avenger and the changes evident from the spy shots seem to be limited to a new paint job and new graphics. The only significant and noticeable change are the new badges – both on the fuel tank and the side panel – sporting the ‘220 Cruise’ moniker. The Avenger Street, on the other hand, is given a blacked out treatment. The bike gets the ‘Street’ badge, red graphics, new black alloys, blacked out engine and even a blacked out exhaust, right from the bend pipe to the muffler. The engine is likely to be the same unit powering the current Bajaj Avenger - a single-cylinder, 220cc four-stroke, air-cooled engine which makes 19PS power and 17.5Nm of torque. It is expected that the new Bajaj Avenger Cruise and Avenger Street will be priced close to Rs 85,000 ex-showroom, while the Bajaj Avenger 150 will be significantly cheaper. ZigWheels.com will be reporting live from the launch event so keep an eye on our Twitter page and the website for live updates and other details.
