The Aprilia Shiver 750 was displayed at the 2015 India Bike Week prior to its official launch in the Indian two-wheeler market by early 2015. The New Aprilia Shiver 750 will compete against the Triumph Street Triple, Kawasaki Z800 and the upcoming Benelli TNT 600 in our two-wheeler market

Aprilia Shiver 750

With demand for performance motorcycles growing on a steady pace, many premium motorcycle manufacturers are focusing on the Indian two-wheeler. Aprilia has been present in India via its parent company Piaggio for the past few years but they have been unsuccessful in making any significant impact in this segment. All this might change soon as the Italian bikemaker plans to revive its strategy in our two-wheeler market. The first step in this direction is by riding in the Shiver 750 apart from expanding its dealer network. The Aprilia Shiver 750 was showcased for the first time at the India Bike Week motorcycle show in Goa to gauge the response from the two-wheeler enthusiasts before its official launch.

With its sculpted fuel tank, contrast coloured frame, petite headlamp and the under seat exhaust make the  Shiver 750 a sharp looking motorcycle despite the fact that it’s almost eight years old. The Aprilia Shiver 750 is powered by a 749.9cc, liquid-cooled, V-Twin motor pumping out 95PS and 81Nm of torque. The twin-cylinder mill is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Aprilia Shiver 750 employs a trellis frame that is suspended on beefy USD forks at front and an off-set monoshock suspension at the rear. The bike employs ride by wire technology and three riding modes – sport, touring and rain. Anchorage is provided by disc brakes at front and rear while ABS is standard. The Aprilia Shiver 750 will compete against the Triumph Street Triple, Kawasaki Z800 and the upcoming Benelli TNT 600 in our two-wheeler market. The Aprilia Shiver 750 is speculated to be launched by early 2015 and will carry a sticker price of around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
