Apollo tyres has launched a corporate advertising campaign themed ‘There are no shortcuts’. It will cover television, cinema, print, digital and outdoor mediums. Teaming up with Manchester United, the tyre manufacturer says that this campaign focuses on the shared values of both – of going the distance to achieve the best.
The campaign has been created and conceptualized by Brooklyn Brothers drawing parallels between the journeys of Apollo tyres and Manchester United. The campaign is being launched simultaneously in the UK and India.
Commenting on the new campaign launch, Marco Paracciani, Chief Marketing Officer, Apollo Tyres Ltd said, “This is one more step towards our journey of making Apollo a globally recognised brand. There are no shortcuts to achieve that goal as there are none to achieve great performance, be it on the road, on a sports pitch, at work or in life in general. Manchester United share the same view; hence we believe we have a very genuine and unique proposition that will resonate strongly with our customers and target audiences.”
Apollo tyres launched its Eurpean performance tyre brand Verdstein in India last month and are focusing on getting a global footprint in recent years. It has successfully turned around the Dutch company’s fortunes from its bankrupt days in 2009. In fact, in a bid to increase their reach to the Americas, the Indian tyre maker was going to purchase debt ridden Cooper tyres but the deal failed to materialize. The new ad campaign will also hope to shrug off some of the bad press the company received due to the failed deal with Cooper.
