TVS has launched the 2016 edition of the Scooty Pep plus with a fresh range on new colours and graphics. The scooter will continue to be sold at the price of Rs 42,534 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

TVS Motors has launched the 2016 edition of its popular Scooty Pep Plus with new colour schemes and graphics. The fresh colour options have been spread across four series namely - Ecosmart Series (Nero Silver, Nero Blue), Starlet Series (Frosted Black, Dazzling Blue, Vivacious Purple, Sassy Pink, Gorgeous Grey), White N Whacky Series (Perky Pink, Passion Purple, Blush Red) and Babelicious Series (Princess Pink).

The updated edition of the Scooty Pep plus is powered by the 87.8cc air-cooled single cylinder, Ecothrust petrol engine that develops 5PS of power and 5.8Nm of peak torque. The engine has been updated with a multicurve ignition system, throttle force reduction system for improved pickup. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a CVT gearbox. The updated model gets two riding modes- Economy mode for better fuel economy and Power mode for higher performance figures. The fuel tank capacity of the scooter is 5 litres and is claimed by the company to returning a mileage of 65kmpl.

Apart from the updates to the engine, the Scooty Pep plus feature the same mechanical components. Along with the standard warranty of one year for the Scooty Pep Plus, TVS is also offering an extended warranty of five years on the scooter. The manufacturer is also offering a 60 minute Express Service for the scooter across selected authorised outlets.

The new colour schemes along with the updates to the powertrain of the TVS Scooty Pep Plus come at no additional cost and will continue to be sold at the price of Rs 42,534 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
