Honda might showcase the CB125F motorcycle at the 2016 Auto Expo before a possible launch in the Indian market by mid-2016

Honda CB125F

Honda is planning to showcase a new motorcycle at the 2016 Auto Expo. According to our sources the new motorcycle in question is the Honda CB125F and as the name suggests it’s a 125cc motorcycle. Given the fact that Honda CB Stunner has been discontinued from the Indian market we can expect the new Honda CB125F to be its flagship offering in the 125cc segment. Honda leads the 125cc segment in the Indian market with its CB Shine and recently introduced a 5-speed gearbox variant with cosmetic updates in the form of the Honda CB Shine SP. Honda will utilise the 2016 Auto Expo to gauge the response of the visitors and based on the feedback, the Japanese bikemaker might or might not launch the CB125F in India.

Honda CB125F console

The styling of the Honda CB125F is similar to the Livo with a commuterish design language but the addition of multi-spoke alloys and the chiselled fuel tank with large extensions give the bike a sporty stance. The Europe-spec model gets a twin-pod analogue instrument console with a tachometer looks visually pleasing. The international spec model gets a fuel-injected, 125cc, air-cooled motor producing 10PS of power and 10.2Nm of peak torque.  We suspect the 125cc motor from the new CB Shine SP will be used in the Honda CB125F for the Indian market churning out 10.6PS and 10.3Nm of torque. We can expect the bike to be priced under Rs 65 to 70,000 ex-showroom in the Indian market.
