Harley-Davidson hass announced dates for the 2015 World Ride. The 2015 edition of Harley-Davidson World Ride will be held on June 27th and 28th. The ride event started off as Million Mile Monday by Harley Owners Group (HOG) members in 2008 but the annual riding event was expanded into a two-day affair and christened Harley-Davidson World Ride in 2012. As part of the World Ride event, Harley-Davidson owners are encouraged to go out on a ride and clock miles on their beloved machines. There is no set distance or destination for the World Ride and it can be a small ride across town, cross-country, or anything in between, as every mile counts.
The kilometres clocked by Harley-Davidson owners can be recorded by logging into Harley-Davidson’s online mileage accumulator at h-d.com/worldride. On this website a real-time rolling odometer will record the collective distance travelled by all participants in the World Ride. Ride participants can log their post-ride mileage directly onto the World Ride web site from mobile devices and share their riding stories and photographs on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #HDworldride. Participants can also download a certificate of participation after logging their mileage on the World Ride web site. The 2015 Harley-Davidson World Ride has been kept on a weekend so that riders can get an opportunity to clock more miles. Last year, Harley-Davidson riders from India clocked a cumulative 1.2 million miles or 1.93 million kilometres.
Speaking about the event, Pallavi Singh, Director Marketing Harley-Davidson India, said, “The World Ride is a show of strength and an awe inspiring tribute to the biker life. It’s a grand celebration of the motorcycling spirit, community and just getting out on the road and enjoying the ride.”
