After scrapping the Boleno from its product range, MSIL had a void to fill in the upper C segment. The SX4 sedan was the answer. Basically a three box version of its European hatch cousin that goes by the same name, the SX4 proved to be a great value for money proposition for the indian market. Its large proportions free up decent interior space, however the overall quality of materials used on the interiors is not up to the mark. Powering the SX4 is a 1.6 liter petrol that delivers more than ample horsepower. MSIL has also introduced an automatic variant for those who prefer the comfort of not having to use a clutch.

Pricing is very high looking in to power of engine ,it must cost 1.5 lacks less.

well maruti has launched the diesel version of the SX4....but the engine capacity seems to be low just 1248cc.....SX4 is in competition with VW vento, honda city etc.....the diesel engine of SX4 should be 1.6cc...
