The New Camry is essentially comes with a refreshed look on the existing platform. Exterior changes include a bolder front grille and bumper, multi reflector headlights, chrome rimmed fog lamps and built in LED turn signals on the Outer Rear View Mirrors (OVRMs). The body retains its taunt look highlighted by the bold lines. Accentuating the car's appeal however are the new ten spoke alloys that the Camry now comes on.

The interiors have also received a plethora of 'touch-ups' and the inclusion of new features. These features include Plasmacluster Technology and a Minus Ion Generator for the Air-conditioning system, which helps eliminate germs from the air, rear A/C vents, independent climate control for driver and co-passenger, a multi functional steering wheel with audio, information display, and air conditioning controls in order to allow the driver to keep his eyes on the road and hands on the wheel at all times. The stereo system has been upgraded to a high end Psychoacoustics unit that is capable of playing CD/MP3/WMA and has an AUX-in, should you want to connect your ipod to it. Apart from that, the interiors still come across as one of the most comfortable places you can be. The high end materials and oodles of space make the Camry a great car to be chauffeured around in.

However, if driving the car yourself is what you prefer, then you can always rely on the 2.4 litre VVT-i engine to give you that necessary feeling of brilliance. The 4 cylinder engine churns out a healthy 167 PS @ 6000rpm and a maximum power of 224Nm@ 4000 rpm. Available in both manual and automatic, the New Camry is bound to be an enhanced driving experience over its predecessor. Incidentally the New Camry automatic boasts of a 5 speed electronically controlled transmission (ECT) which is said to give the user an amazingly smooth shift feel and allow for linear acceleration.

Speaking about the New Camry, Hiroshi Nakagawa, MD, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, revealed, "The Toyota Camry has already redefined the concept of the premium luxury car in India.
