Bajaj Auto Ltd. has just launched its latest entrant into the Pulsar family - the light and sporty Pulsar 135LS.
Continuing its spate of new launches, Bajaj Auto has introduced a new member to its sporty Pulsar family. Called the Pulsar 135LS, the bike has been launched at a price of Rs 51,000 ex-showroom Delhi.
Even though it is being called the baby Pulsar, the 135LS features technology that are market-firsts by an Indian manufacturer. The bike will sport the first Indian engine with 4-valves, which allows the 135LS to make its impressive peak power of 13.5PS at a high 9,000rpm. Torque is adequate too at 11.4Nm. With those figures and a class-leading lightness of 122kg, the 135LS comes with a power-to-weight ratio that threatens even a few 150cc motorcycles.
The bike is also the first Pulsar to do away with the cradle frame chassis and sports the engine as a stressed member instead. Other features include a tachometer, a digital speedo with fuel gauge, clip-on handlebars and Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear. A longer wheelbase of 1325mm has been given to aid city-comfort and stability.
The Pulsar 135LS continues with the bang-for-the-buck theme, offering lots of value for its price. How does it ride? Check out in our first ride review in the online package!
