Is the TVS iQube S the right family electric scooter? Tap for the answer in our road test review
The new iQube S gets a bigger 3.04kWh lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 100km
However, we proved TVS wrong in a good way, by clocking a real world range of 114.76km
The main contributor to this being the enthusiastic regenerative braking system
Another reason is its Eco mode, tuned to deliver adequate punch until 32kmph and delivering a speedo-indicated top speed of 50kmph (45kmph on the VBox)
Despite the slight increase in the kerb weight, the iQube S is a tad quicker than before in Power mode with a VBox indicated top speed of 75kmph
In terms of handling, the dual shocks can just take about anything you throw at it, however it does feel a bit bouncy over larger bumps
Most of that could be down to the massive unsprung mass, thanks to the hub motor
Stopping performance is good, and there’s decent feedback at the levers too, however the rear tends to lock up under hard braking
While the iQube S is equipped with Q-Park assist (reverse mode), we have been facing issues with this button getting stuck after riding in the rain
The iQube S makes for a wholesome package with sufficient range and impressive features, making it a good e-scooter that everyone in the family can enjoy
