The Hyryder’s strong-hybrid range starts with the mid-spec S variant, while the base E is mild-hybrid only.

On the outside, this variant offers steel wheels with wheel caps and halogen projector headlights instead of projector LEDs.

Inside, it gets a smaller 7-inch touchscreen and misses out on a premium sound system, sunroof and HUD.

Nevertheless, it still offers cruise control, keyless entry and push-button start, electrically folding ORVMs, ESC and hill assist.

The Hyryder strong-hybrid has a 116PS automatic-only powertrain with a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 27.97kmpl.

The Hyryder S costs Rs 15.11 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India), undercutting even the strong-hybrid variant of its sister car, the Maruti Grand Vitara.
